Privacy Policy
01 Who this applies to
This policy covers the Chrome extension "Chartink to TradingView / Screener" ("the extension"), developed by Alen Sarang Satheesh. It explains exactly what data the extension does and does not handle.
02 Data we collect
None. The extension does not collect or process any personally identifiable information, browsing history, financial information, authentication data, location, or analytics of any kind. We do not have any servers, and no information ever leaves your browser.
03 Information stored locally on your device
The only data the extension saves is your own configuration, kept on your device using the
browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):
- Your selected redirect platform(s) — TradingView, Screener.in, and/or Chartink.
- The last stock symbol you clicked on Chartink, used only to re-highlight it on that page.
This information never leaves your computer, is not transmitted to us or any third party, and is removed when you uninstall the extension.
04 Permissions and why they are needed
- Storage — to remember your redirect preferences between browser sessions.
- Host access to chartink.com, screener.in, and tradingview.com — to read the stock symbol on the page you are viewing and open that stock on your chosen platform. The extension runs only on these three websites and accesses no other sites.
05 How the extension works
When you click a stock link on Chartink, the extension reads the stock symbol from that link and opens the corresponding page on the platform(s) you selected. When you press Ctrl + Q on a TradingView or Screener page, it reads the current stock symbol and switches you to the other platform for the same stock. All of this happens locally in your browser.
06 Third parties and remote code
The extension does not load or execute any remote code. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries. Navigating to TradingView, Screener.in, or Chartink is governed by those websites' own privacy policies.
07 Data sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer any user data to anyone, because no user data is collected in the first place.
08 Children's privacy
The extension is a general-purpose stock-research utility and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
09 Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
